On May 24th, the 6th grade Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra and Honor Orchestra performed their last concert at the HPMS Auditorium.
The 6th grade Orchestra performed Susan Day’s Twilight Dancers, Newbold’s Honor and Glory and Caponegro’s Fumble Fingers. The Philharmonic Orchestra performed Newbold’s Gaelic Castle, Blamages’ A Beethoven Lullaby, and Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson’s We are the World. And the Honor Orchestra performed Rossini’s Barber of Seville, Bach’s Sleepers Wake, and Shellback’s Can’t Stop the Feeling.
Of special note, the 8th grade class of both Honors and Philharmonic performed Webber’s Memory as their final performance at the Middle School. Some of the students also paid warm wishes and a heartfelt tribute to Orchestra Director, Ms. Louise Rossi who will be stepping down after the end of this year. We wish her all the best as she enters retirement. Thank you for a wonderful 3 years!
