Meet your new Associate Orchestra Director!
Ms. Lindsay Crofts

Q: What instrument do you love playing most?

A: The Violin

Q: When did you start playing?

A: 3 years old!

Q: When did you know you’d make a career of teaching music?

A: When my high school private lesson teacher asked me to tutor some beginning students in our music school – once I started teaching them, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. It was so fun!

Q: Do you play professionally outside of teaching?

A: Yes! I am currently auditioning for some local symphonies in Dallas. I am new to the area, so I’m looking for performing opportunities. I also play at weddings/events.

Q: What do you love about teaching?

A: My favorite part about teaching is seeing the excitement of the students when they learn a new skill or discover something knew about playing their instrument.

Q: What advice do you have for your budding musicians?

A: Practice every day. It will be hard and it will sometimes be boring, but if you practice every day, you will see amazing progress over time and be rewarded by all the hard work!
