2021 Winter Concert on Dec 8th

It was a joyful evening full of fun and festive music! On Dec 8th, led by our Orchestra Director, Ms. Sarah Willson and Mr. Jordan Moore, the Beginner Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra, Honor Orchestra, and our Harp Ensemble performed a Holly Jolly Winter Concert at the Highland Park Middle School Auditorium.

We would like to acknowledge all families who did generous donation to support our orchestra program! 

A very special thanks to our orchestra Leaders, Ms. Sarah Willson and Mr. Jordan Moore! Our gratitude to our HPHS Orchestra leader Mr. Matthew Epperson, HPHS Fine Arts director Mr. Tyler Perring, and HPHS Instrument Music coordinator Mr. Rylon Guidry!

Thanks to all members of the Raider Orchestra Booster Club who continue to work hard behind the scenes to make the best it can be for our students in this difficult pandemic year!

The sixth graders in the Beginner Orchestra performed Twinkle Little Star by W. A.Mozart, Jingle Bells by J. L. Pierpont, Ode to Joy by L.V. Beethoven, Good King Wenceslas — Traditional, Up on the Housetop by B.R. Handy, and Jolly Old St. Nicholas — Traditional.

Harp Ensemble by MIS students performed Angels We Have Heard on High — Traditional, Dancing Day by England.

Students in Philharmonic Orchestra performed North Pole March by Chris Thomas, Frosty the Snowman by Rollins/Nelson.

Students in Honor Orchestra performed Deck the Hall of the Mountain King by E. Grieg arr. Meyer, Sleigh Ride  by L. Anderson arr. Cerulli

Grand Finale performed by All Orchestra Students — Carol of the Bells by M.D. Leontovych.
