Bravo, HPMS Ensemble!

During the course of the school year (2017-2018), a few of the talented HPMS Orchestra students committed every Thursday mornings to participate in an ensemble led by Ms Louise Rossi, Orchestra Director.

Like any extracurricular activity, these students spent hours outside of their classroom with the purpose of preparing and extending rehearsal time to perform at various scheduled functions.  But beyond this purpose, due to the sheer smaller size of the group, students developed a shared musical experience and a close social bond – a valued experience for all.

The ensemble performed at the following events:

April 13th – 7:00-8:00 pm – Texas Teachers Writing/Literacy Conference
April 20th – 5:00-6:00 – University Park Elementary International Festival
April 26th – Park Cities Learning Disabilities Association Pool and Water Garden Tour
May 17th – 5:30-7:00 – Highland Park High School – STEAM Extravaganza
May 22th – 3:30-4:30 – HPMS – Retirement party

Each of the students was presented with a $20 Yumilicious Giftcard sponsored by the Raider Orchestra Booster Club and Yumilicious.

Bravo, HPMS Ensemble!
